The origin story of Madam Stoltz.

30 years ago, the founder Pernille embarked on an adventure trip to India. There, she immediately fell in love with the country and began selling jewelry to finance her travels. The locals called the young Danish adventurer "Madam." When she returned to Copenhagen, she opened a small shop to sell her jewelry and the designs of her own products. Pernille could not have guessed at the time that this trip would be the beginning of the journey of Madam Stoltz, as it is known today.

The expansion of Madam Stoltz.

Through her love for India and her passion for design, Madam Stoltz began importing more and more products from the country. She discovered talented local craftsmen and artists, whom she supported and whose works she brought to Europe. Thus, Madam Stoltz evolved from a small jewelry shop into a brand with a wide range of home accessories, furniture, and decorations. Today, Madam Stoltz is represented in many countries around the world – from Scandinavia to Australia. The designs are characterized by the fusion of Western aesthetics with traditional Indian techniques and materials such as wood, brass, or ceramics. Each product tells a story about the people behind the brand: about the commitment to fair trade practices or the use of recycled materials. Madam's journey may have started 30 years ago – but her spirit lives on in every single product of this unique brand. The Beldi glass from Madam Stoltz.

This glass is a true original! It has been produced by Le Verre Beldi since 1940 and is made entirely from locally recycled glass. The entire glass is mouth-blown, and the production ensures the survival of traditional craftsmanship and creates jobs for the local community. Due to the recycled material, the glass has a blue-green tint and may contain small air bubbles and stresses. We believe this gives the product character, especially when you know that the small imperfections were created by the hands of the Marrakech glassblowers.
