O'zapft is! It's that time again - the Oktoberfest is in full swing. Of course, the perfect outfit should not be missing when visiting the Wiesn. Lederhosen for men and dirndls for girls, of course. A traditional costume dress is not a must, but Oktoberfest isn't half as nice without it, isn't it? A dirndl consists of a dress, an apron and a blouse. The accessories also play a role in the perfect Oktoberfest look. We'll show you a few chic outfits that will not only make you look good at the traditional festival.
Oktoberfest look from head to toe
When choosing the dirndl for the perfect Oktoberfest look, there are a few points to consider. As far as color goes, greens and reds are the classic colors. Pink and berry tones or brown are also worn very often. Make sure that the length is not too short and that it reaches at least a hand’s breadth over the knee.
A dirndl without a blouse is a no-go for those who are conscious of tradition. Dirndl blouses are available in different designs, with lace, as a bandeau top, with a high neck, with or without sleeves. Classic are white models that prevent a too deep look into the décolleté.
Of course, the apron must not be missing. Single people wear the bow on the left, lovers, engaged or married wear it on the right. Widowed women or waitresses wear the apron bow at the back, young girls and virgins tie the bow at the front.
Whether you wear shoes with heels or flat ballerinas is of course a matter of taste. You can also choose the accessories as you wish, but remember: less is more!
